The Ogg Video Tools  Video Comparison

Test Videos from Golem.de

These are a number of test videos, that where originally created by golem.de and have been transcoded to theora. Golem.de kindly gave me the permission, to use the videos for transcoding purposes.

The reason to create this page was to show up, how easy it is to work with the video tag in combination with firefox 3.6 expecially for using ogg/theora without the loss of quality against h.264.

Only to make this clear: The videos are all transcoded with (nearly) the same datarate.

The reason for the different start screen is, that I use oggThumb to create the poster image for the video, and the golem guys have created their start screen with some more effort. Additionally there is some advertisements within the golem videos. This is caused by the simple usage of the embedd code from golem.de.

Have fun - Yorn
